Saving a few easy core classes for second semester senior year? Be careful, that may only be a good idea in theory. Most seniors try to pick the easiest schedule containing their remaining necessary classes for graduation. Usually this is a very specific combination, and one full class can throw off the entire mix.

I have had this conversation many times: Friend: You went to the movies today? Me: Yes. Friend: Who did you go with? Me: No one. Friend: What? Why? Yes, it is true. I go to the movies, a lot. More importantly, however, I go by myself. I know what you all must be thinking, because every time someone asks me the inevitable "with who" question, and hear my reply, they look at me like I have two heads.

African experience dazzles debate team members

Three members of the debate team went to Stellenbosch, South Africa for the World Debating Tournament during winter break, essentially free of charge. Jealous yet? It's a good time to be on the debate team. Past trips have included Scotland, Australia, Canada, as well as this past Africa trip.

Reuse, recycle, reduce your tuition?

Newspapers, cans and bottles may be given a second life thanks to new efforts that hopefully won't go to waste. The administration, the Student Environmental Association (SEA) and RAs in two residence halls are teaming up to test a new recycling program designed to reduce waste on campus and the school's bill for waste disposal, opening up money for other uses.

In this town murder is a form of entertainment The movie "Chicago" exposes the seedy underbelly of jazz and life in the big city through its solid acting and racy musical numbers. It's the film's cynical social criticism that really gives "Chicago" its weight however, as it offers a strong glimpse into how celebrity and fame are all that people are concerned with, often at the sacrifice of what is really true.
