The Best: Joe’s American Bar ‘ Grill

Joe’s has a really good offering of burgers at their establishment. The burgers are huge, and the prices reasonable for what you’re getting, enough for someone even on a Fairfield budget to enjoy them. The atmosphere is great, so you can enjoy your surroundings while snacking on your moo meat. They have other great options on their menu too, making them great for other food if you’re in the mood for something a little different, but as burgers go you can’t get any better than that.

The Worst: Sky Bar Grill

When there’s a sign up warning students that it’ll take awhile to make the burgers, you know that’s a big red flag. Sky Bar takes worst not as much for the burgers themselves as much as the service involved. One of the biggest plusses about the Stag is that food can be picked up quickly and without waiting. Whether it’s the pizza or deli sandwich, there’s rarely a huge line to wait through, and even when there is one it doesn’t take more than five minutes. But Sky Bar demands excellence, so it can take 15 minutes, and that’s assuming there’s not a line. Worse, they close at 7 p.m., so if you want a burger later at night you have to settle for the half-a-burger options such as McDonalds or Duchess. Quality is great, but the fast food generation demands speed too, and Sky Bar just doesn’t cut it.
