Two years later, Fisher case to go on trial

TUESDAY-- Nearly two years after the body of Mark Fisher '06 was found in a Brooklyn park, two men charged in connection with his muder are set to go on trial this week in New York. Jury selection for the murder trial of accused gunman Antonio Russo, 19, and alleged accomplice John Guica, 21, began Monday, with the trial set to begin Wednesday in the Brooklyn Supreme Court building.

Laid to rest on Oct. 17 at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Sparta, N.J., Fisher is remembered as a "loving person who always made people smile.

A second man was convicted of murdering Mark Fisher '06 in 2003, after jurors asked for more time to decide his fate. Antonio Russo, 19, and John Guica, 21, who was convicted on Tuesday, face 25 years to life in prison for second-degree murder and robbery.

Brooklyn gang member guilty in Fisher murder

The Fairfield community and family and friends of Mark Fisher '06 finally have some answers. The leader of a Brooklyn gang was convicted on Tuesday of murdering Fisher in 2003. John Guica, 21, now faces a sentence of 25 years to life in prison for second-degree murder, robbery and weapons posession.
