SHE said: Avoid the costume cliché

With Halloween around the corner, the conversation du jour has been costume selection. And every time it comes up, I want to run in the opposite direction. Sadly, I'm pretty much over Halloween. I'm still all about free chocolate, but once we hit college, trick-or-treating became (understandably) inappropriate.

Letter to the editor: Silencing Stanczyk

To the Editor: I can look past the Columbus Day Weekend bashing and even the wild assumptions and generalizations of Dan Stanczyk's enthralling 'He Said' column, but this week had me particularly fired up. Although he makes some accurate commentaries on the female population here at Fairfield, he falls short at not being able to recognize the small yet strong fourth group of women.

Students saving lives: When a little bit goes a long way

Stephanie Luciani '10 courageously entered the Oak Room last week ready to save lives by donating her blood. As certified American Red Cross nurses took a pint of her blood, she realized she could save three lives in only five minutes. "I give so little to give so much," said Luciani after giving blood.
