Independently owned record stores across the nation will celebrate the first annual Record Store Day on April 19 by holding special events, including in-store performances, parties, appealing sales, and customer goodie bags. According to Recordstoreday.com, music legends, such as Paul McCartney, are supporting the new holiday with fervor, saying record stores have always supported them and should be kept alive with appreciation.

The commuter is the forgotten student, assimilated into the student body and disregarded by the administration. However, from my experience, the commuter students also should be held accountable. Some may say that the needs of commuters on this campus are being ignored, and sometimes I can't say I disagree.

Strength in numbers: Abortion statistics tell the story

Before Spring Break, there were 1,105 paper crosses hanging above the lower level of the Barone Campus Center. Strung and hung by members of Students for Life, each cross represents three abortions, which occur on a daily basis. According to Planned Parenthood, the leading abortion institution, there are approximately 3,315 abortions every day.
