What do you mean strange detail in some strange case. I made this perfectly clear before. Read:

The '92 at the end of the name of Fairfield students or graduates is the year the person graduated. It is something Fairfield does. It's not rocket science.

The comment section below the last article about Perlitz's effort to post bond is instructive for an understanding of the university's position, and related critiques of it.

See http://fairfieldmirror.com/2009/10/28/perlitz-detained-without-prejudice-defense-plans-to-eventually-ask-for-release/

OK. The '92 is probably just a strange detail in a very strange case. It's hard to image the courtroom with Perlitz supporters vs. 15 Haitians. I know that most prominent pedophiles have a legion of supporters, but this one is way over the top. How can anyone publicly support a man who googles for gay black boys, no matter what crime he's accused of? And one has to ask, is this courtroom spectacle taking place in the Diocese of Bridgeport, soon to unleash 12,000 pedophile documents which will shock the nation? What is going on in Connecticut? Why are they drawing attention to themselves in such damaging ways? Why are they taking up against the poor of Haiti, just to save one man who is clearly a pedophile?

For a much fuller description of what was on Perlitz's computer right before his arrest, see
http://www.connpost.com/breakingnews/ci_13658998

Quote: The delay in Perlitz’s attempt to post bond came hours after a federal prosecutor advised the judge that the accused was trolling Internet sites shortly before his Sept. 16 arrest in Colorado, “conducting Google searches” for “gay boys black” “Colorado Haitians” and “africa boyz” and Yahoo searches for “gay black boys,” according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Krishna Patel.

“Moreover, the initial findings indicate that Perlitz’s activities on the computer included access to forum pages which included places where people could post personals, arrange for meetings and identify cruising places,” the prosecutor said.

So, it remains an open question whether nothing illegal occurred regarding Perlitz's computer use. His request was for boys, not men.

Being released on bond should be unthinkable for him.

No, it's just a naming convention that Fairfield uses. Students and alumni have the year appended to their name. Lucas Stag '42 etc...
