The Glee Club will be performing their spring concert, “The Magic of the Masters: Mozart and Bernstein,” this Saturday, April 22. The repertoire is diverse, from Mozart to Andrew Lloyd Webber and everything in between.

The concert is a tribute to both Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Leonard Bernstein. The Glee Club will celebrate Mozart’s 250 birthday with “Ave Verum Corpus, K.618” and “Regina Coeli K 276.” The Chamber Singers will bring life to pieces of Bernstein’s “The Lark,” a drama about the trial of Joan of Arc.

As always, there will be pieces performed by the smaller ensembles of Glee Club: Sine Nomine, Sweet Harmony and Men’s Ensemble. The concert also features other soloists including soprano Lauren Satos, alto Catherine Federowicz, tenor Dwight Tejano, and bass Sean Sorensen all singing pieces of Mozart’s “Regina Coeli K. 276,” and Deena Crimaldi singing “This is the Moment” from “Jekyll and Hyde.”

Don’t miss your second chance to hear the Glee Club expertly perform the music of the masters this Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for students. Call the Quick Center Box Office at (203) 254-4010.

It promises to be magical.
