University College has released a list of their Open VISIONS Lectures for next. The list features ten of the most prominent members of the political, academic, and journalistic scene. Next years speakers include actress and humanitarian Mia Farrow, Newark Mayor Cory Booker, and CNN Legal analyst and best selling author Jeffery Tobin.

The talks start with historian Douglas Brinkley on September 15. Brinkley a professor at Rice University, is actively on CBS as a historical analyst.

The series has an election special with liberal MSNBC news anchor Mika Brzezinski and Conservative political and international affairs analyst Monica Crowley, on Monday October 27.

Open Visions held a Election Day Point-Counterpoint with Katrina vanden Heuvel and William Kristol, in November of 2006.

Other headlines include actress Olympia Dukakis, Abraham Lincoln Historian Harold Holzer, Chairman of the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts Earl A. Powell and Kerry Kennedy, human rights activist.

The series features a lecture by the guest followed by a question and answer period featuring Open VISIONS Director and Art History Professor Phil Eliasoph and a special guest. The questions then shift over to a series in which the audience participates.
