A different game will be played in Alumni Hall this Saturday. It’s two words, an event you participated in during grammar school and screams pop-hit songs. Give up?  On Jan. 29, the Athletic Department is hosting a talent show for all different varsity athletes and Stag fans from Fairfield University.

From 7 to 9 p.m., the first ever Student-Athlete Talent Show will take place.  Admission is free and open to the general public which means anyone and everyone can go and enjoy watching the sports teams compete against each other for a different type of win.

There will be drinks and refreshments, along with a 50/50 raffle. The money raised at the show will go to the Grace Evanko fund to help a 2nd grader in the Fairfield area who is battling an inoperable brain tumor. Kristen Golen ’12 is a member of Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and is an avid cross-country runner who is looking forward to the talent show.

“I think that this talent show fundraiser is going to be a very successful tradition for the Fairfield community. It was very easy to get the varsity teams involved with this because the money is going to such a wonderful little girl in the Fairfield community,” she said. “My cross country team is very excited, and we are very happy to help out Grace and her family, even if it means that we will look like complete fools on stage.”
