“It’s good to be back,” exclaimed Stewie Griffin, and it certainly is.

After a brief hiatus, the animated comedy “Family Guy” is back on the air and after the completion of its fourth season has released a brand new uncensored animated movie, “Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story.”

Despite internet leakage months ago, the DVD has been successful in sales.

With the typical sarcastic and dry humor “Family Guy” is known for, the movie includes an interesting plot line: could Stewie have another father?

However, just as soon as you buy that plot, the usual “Family Guy” twist in thrown in to make it off the wall.

One new aspect to “Family Guy” is that it is uncensored as the movie leaves you in stitches when you hear a diabolical infant drop the F-bomb or a Stepford wife mumble drunken slurs.

A criticism of much of the fourth season is that Stewie, arguably the most popular character, was less the focal point and had a much smallerrole than before the show left the air. The movie however brings Stewie back to life, and really reminds us just why we started watching “Family Guy” in the first place: to see a baby develop a plot to murder his parents, “Lois and the Fat Man.”

The loveable, drunken yet sophisticated family dog, Brian, also played a large role as Stewie’s partner in crime throughout his journey. His liberal view of the world paired with Stewie’s conservative views only add to the hilarity of the dry comedy. After all, let us not forget a liberal dog is talking about a “tax cut for the wealthy” with a conservative infant.

Every aspect of the previous seasons (from Drew Barrymore voicing herself as the date of Mr. Kool-Aid to the greased up deaf guy) were all brought out in the movie.

After the movie there was extra material that should not be overlooked. I will try not to ruin the surprises, but you will definitely get a few kicks.

Though 88 minutes seemed short for any “Family Guy” fan, the length did the movie justice. The ending was perhaps abrupt and left the viewer looking forward to many new episodes to come.
