With more than one-third of Fairfield students in each class studying abroad every year, many have expressed interest in writing about their experiences. Traditionally, The Mirror has published personal accounts from student travelers. A new magazine, Glimpse Quarterly, is a new outlet through which students can voice their experiences and learn about others' experiences.

Strolling down the streets of Aix-en-Provence, France, with a baguette in her hand, Maryellen Fenton '09 heard a clank - a two Euro (?) coin fell out of her bag and rolled on the pavement. "Nooo," yelled Fenton as she chased after it. With the American dollar hitting an all-time low and the Euro an all-time high, Fairfield students studying abroad in Europe are more cautious about spending their money.

Fuels of the future: Fairfield students use alternatives to gasoline

Fairfield's color may be red, but going green is becoming a trend on campus. Flip on the news and you will probably hear something about soaring gas prices, environmental disaster and international conflict with oil-producing countries. Two Fairfield students, Robert Scribner '09 and Peter Krueger '08, are helping to protect the ozone layer and lessen our country's dependency on oil by using alternative sources of fuel for their cars.
