My friend who lives next door to me put a sign outside his door that read, "HUGS $1, benefits my service trip to Philippines." I can buy two hugs from him or one share of Bear Stearns. In our society, when things are hitting us from all different directions bear-hugs bring a much greater return.

Sour grapes: Bar charges cover, students talk of boycott

The senior class recently faced a rude awakening - and it had nothing to do with the fact that the year is nearly half over. Two-dollar Tuesdays, where all drinks at the Seagrape Café are $2, is a staple for seniors living at the beach. However, the Grape has instituted a new "DJ charge," a $2 cover required for entry into the bar on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Public Safety responds to Regis Hall altercation

Students woke up Monday morning to find bright red signs alerting them of a warning issued by Public Safety and a StagWeb e-mail explaining the incident that occurred in Regis Hall early Saturday morning. Public Safety and the dean's office responded quickly after the incident occurred, calling it a lesson for students.
