You know you're from Fairfield when you enjoy one day of beer, bands and barbeque at Spam Jam, followed by ten days of books, boredom and brain pain at the adminstrations favorite event, Cram Jam.

There is a girl that I am deeply in love with. We do spend a lot of our time together. Recently I just asked her out and she refused. She said I was like a brother to her. We still do a lot together, but how to I get her to like me more than a friend. --Lady's overall very enthralling How do you get her to like you as more than a friend? LOVE, that's a really bad question.

As the academic year draws to a close, the editorial board reflects on the year's biggest "Cheers" and "Boos": student action and student apathy. CHEERS to student action. Fairfield students are to be commended for their response to events that have occurred this year on and off campus, and even worldwide.

Should Mirror reporters accept gifts from organizations they cover? Can Mirror staffers cover a basketball game if their roommate is on the team? Can reporters who are also involved in FUSA cover the organization without encountering a conflict of interest? These are just a few of the issues the editors and staff of The Mirror deal with on a weekly basis.

It goes without saying that when the Stags take the court next November, they will sorely miss Deng Gai '05, who finished his career with more blocked shots than all but five players in college basketball history.

I have become good friends with someone since December, and when we became friends I told her I was interested in her brother. She is 21, I am 20, he is 18. She is attracted to my brother who is 22 but she is dating someone, and we have joked about dating brothers and she said she wouldn't want to put me in that awkward position.

Somehow over the years I have misplaced my "25 things to do before graduation" check list they hand out during orientation. From memory, I can only think of a few of the items on the list: * Sit in on a FUSA board meeting: Check. I decided to join The Mirror.

There actually is a word that encompasses the notion of having a guy friend that you are attracted to. My girlfriends and I have coined this the "secret crush," and for the past four years we have been harboring our own toward our various male friends. We have really identified two levels to having a secret crush.

Beth Loffredo '06, the 2004 MAAC Player of the Year and this year's preseason favorite for the honor, was forced to have surgery a few weeks ago after suffering a torn meniscus in her knee.

For those readers not familiar with the Mock Wedding, it is promoted as the social culmination of parties for students who live at the beach. A week before the event, people discuss and fight over whom they voted into the wedding party, what outfits they will wear (may or may not be restricted to girls), how many strippers they will get for the bachelor parties, and how to make the best combination of jungle juice.
