The Fairfield University Awards Dinner began in 1960, when the Alumni Association began recognizing alumni and staff for their professional achievements and service to the institution. The University's Multicultural Scholarship Fund has been the primary beneficiary of the Awards Dinner, held annually since 1988. Overall, more than $15 million dollars has been raised for financial aid by this event.
