When filmmaker Bob Cammisa '10 sat down for an interview in an empty room in Loyola Hall, he was grinning. He's been doing a lot lately, and that includes flying through the air. Recently, Cammisa finished up a weekend's worth of on-location shooting in Shelton, Conn., for his new project, which does not yet have an official name. It is currently being referred to as "West Canal."

‘Superbug’ scare prompts precautions

Fairfield has been taking a number of precautions in an attempt to avoid being hit with an outbreak of the new antibiotic-resistant variety of staph infection. The action comes after numerous other schools have been afflicted with the infection. The most recent of these facilities of higher education was Iona College, which suffered a small epidemic.

Von Arx speaks about dwindling role of Jesuits

A continually decreasing number of Jesuit priests could affect the experience that students receive at Fairfield, University President Fr. Jeffrey von Arx said Thursday. "The number of Jesuits continues to decline," he told a student news conference. "[The Board of Trustees] might have to deal with the fact that I may well be the last Jesuit president of the University," he said.
