‘Take Back the Night’ breaks the silence in sexual assault

As the sunset deepened into the sky across Fairfield on Tuesday, April 1, a group of Fairfield students gathered in the Barone Campus Center where they were handed candles and white ribbons. Together, this group was getting ready to take a journey across the campus and “Take Back the Night.”

Dancing the night away

There was nothing but applause for the dancers of Fairfield’s Dance Ensemble as they took the stage on Friday, March 14 at the Regina A. Quick Center. The night was filled with beautiful performances by the 61 members of Fairfield’s largest student-run club on campus. The Dance Ensemble spent about six months preparing for that one night.

Stags win in support of Wounded Warrior Project

On Saturday, March 8, at Alumni Field, the women’s lacrosse team was ready to “Face Off for a Cause” against the Vermont Catamounts. As a proud supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project, the Stags were determined to get a victory against the Catamounts to show the injured servicemen and women the respect that Fairfield has for all the sacrifices they have made in order to keep the country safe.

If there’s a single piece of advice every freshman is told before leaving for school, it’s to join a club or team. By joining a club or team, a freshman has the ability to transition smoothly into a college routine, while being nurtured under the wings of upperclassmen who have gotten the whole college thing down to a fine art.

Despite broken records, Stags fall short on Senior Day

Although the Stags broke four different program records on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, both the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams fell short to Iona in their last home matchup of the season. Going into the meet, both teams had high expectations. It was Senior Day, the last home meet of the season for the leaders of the team.
