Weekend sees MAAC perfection

Soccer: Stags bounce back in defeat over Manhattan

Fairfield Stags mens' soccer team left the field after a heartbreaking loss to Harvard vowing that they would make a stong comeback next time out. Fairfield, ranked 15, defeated the Manhattan Jaspers, 1-0, at Manhattan, Friday afternoon. The Stags, who ended a six game unbeaten streak and a thirteen game regular season home unbeaten streak with the loss to Harvard, continued another streak with the win.

Women’s basketball tantalized the crowd with team’s potential

During Saturday's Red-White scrimmage, the women's basketball team showed flashes of brilliance their fans can look forward to seeing more of in the upcoming season. After warming up with some fast-paced drills, the women took the court and appeared slightly sluggish out of the gate with multiple turnovers and missed shots.

Soccer: Uy nets third game-winning goal against St. Peter’s College

The Fairfield Stags' men's soccer team has again risen to the occasion late in the game, winning another late game thriller, this time over St. Peter's College, 2-1 in double overtime. Freshman Christian Uy scored his third game winner of the season in dramatic fashion, five minutes into the second overtime period.

All good things must come to an end

Coming into Monday night's game against Harvard, the Fairfield men's soccer team was 8-2-1, coming off of two major wins against Iona and Yale, and ranked 19th in the country. If that wasn't enough, the Stags were riding a six-game unbeaten streak and a 13-game regular season unbeaten streak at the team's home field, Lessing Field.
