In a time when photo finish elections may be something of the norm, the Fairfield University Student Association elections have become no different. Throngs of students rallied around their candidates Tuesday at the Barone Campus Center, creating an exciting and tense atmosphere until the final results were announced at just around 1 a.m. For creating this amount of tingle around an election, Tuesday's candidates should be congratulated.

When people question whether it matters or not that the administration and staff at Fairfield University are dominated by a male population, I have to laugh. Out loud. Ah, yes, let the best man win and, in this instance, get the job. I have no doubt that the university wants only the creme of the crop, and for whatever reason or another, the majority of them happen to be men.
