Welcome back, Stags. It feels good to be back at Fairfield for another spring. Start the semester on the right note with a few of these tips.
Keep up with your New Year’s Resolutions. Yes, the RecPlex at peak hours can be irritating. However, continue getting good workouts in and stick with it.
Catch up with old friends. Make time to see a few peers that you haven’t in a while. Also, be sure to stay in touch with everyone who is abroad.
Plan, plan, plan. Actually read your syllabi, and mark up your planners with important due dates so you won’t be blindsided further down the road.
Be a yes man. Channel your inner Jim Carrey, and don’t pass up on many plans or opportunities. College flies by (trust me, I’m a senior who is wondering where the last four years went), so break out of your comfort zone.
Use your resources. Haven’t visited the Academic and Career Development Center yet? Whether you’re a first-year or graduating in May, utilize their services to get a jump on your post-Fairfield future.
Pray for snow. Flush ice cubes down the toilet, wear your pajamas inside out and sleep with a spoon underneath your pillow. It’s still the winter, and it’s never too soon to want a day off of school.
Try something new. Check out a restaurant downtown that you’ve never gone to, take your first run down the beach as the weather gets warmer or even join a new club.
Cherish it. No matter your age, make it the best semester so far. Work hard in your classes and enjoy your time with your fellow Stags.
