Monday, 9/2

12:29 a.m. – Two students were discovered walking out of the woods near Regis Hall. They were found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and referred to student conduct.

8:52 a.m. – Suspected marijuana was discovered in a glass jar inside a vehicle being towed from a fire lane outside 51 McInnes Rd.  The vehicle owner was issued an infraction from the Fairfield Police Department and referred to student conduct.

1:05 p.m. – A Fairfield golf cart reportedly struck and damaged a vehicle on McInnes Road, yet an investigation from Department of Public Safety yielded that, based on a lack of damage to the cart, it was inconclusive whether the striking vehicle was in fact the golf cart.

9:10 p.m. – Resident Assistants in Claver Hall requested assistance from DPS after finding underage students in possession of alcohol.  The students responsible were referred to student conduct.

10:08 p.m. – RAs found a bag of what is suspected to be crystal methamphetamine in the hallway on the second floor of 47 Mahan Rd.  The incident is under investigation, and is notably the first instance of crystal methamphetamine being found at Fairfield.

10:21 p.m. –  RAs in Claver Hall requested assistance from DPS after finding underage students in possession of alcohol.  The students responsible were referred to student conduct.

11:59 p.m. – One male and one female were reportedly assaulted by three males at the Townhouse 13 block.

Tuesday, 9/3

8:26 p.m. – RAs in Claver Hall reported the odor of marijuana.  Upon further investigation, DPS discovered alcoholic beverages but no narcotics or paraphernalia. The students responsible were referred to student conduct.

Wednesday, 9/4

1:44 a.m. – DPS identified an individual who allegedly interfered with Fairfield Police Department responding to a prior medical emergency.  The individual was issued a $408 fine for interfering with an emergency vehicle responding to a medical emergency.

2:33 a.m. – Students were found near the stag statue to be in possession of Marijuana and paraphernalia.  The responsible parties were referred to student conduct.

10:18 a.m. – A Trek road bike was reported stolen sometime over the summer from the bike room in 51 McInnes Rd.

11:15 a.m. – An unlocked Trek mountain bike was reported stolen from outside the Media Center in Xavier Hall sometime between Aug. 31 and Sept. 4.

8:25 p.m. – A resident of Claver hall reported their bicycle stolen.  The bike was later found in the woods near Mahan Road, not far from where it was taken.

Thursday, 9/5

11:07 p.m. – A criminal trespass warning was issued to a non-student at Townhouse 10 block.  The non-student refused to cooperate with officers investigating underage drinking.  The non-student’s host was referred to student conduct.

Friday, 9/6

12:22 a.m. – Loud music at Townhouse 5 block led DPS to discover underage students in possession of alcohol.  The students were referred to student conduct.

9:41 p.m. – DPS discovered an underage student to be in possession of alcohol.  The student was found with over 30 beers near Townhouse 5 block, and referred to student conduct.

10:28 p.m. – An underage student who refused to stay out of the road on Loyola Drive was confronted and discovered to be in possession of alcohol.  The student was referred to student conduct.

11:51 p.m. – An intoxicated first year student was triaged for intoxication and deemed fit to return to their residence hall.  The student was referred to student conduct.

Saturday, 9/7

12:01 a.m. – Neighbors on North Benson Road complained that students were being dropped off by taxis at the Townhouse gate.

12:11 a.m. – A minor was discovered to be in possession of alcoholic beverages at the campus entrance checkpoint and referred to student conduct.

12:29 a.m. – Unregistered guests were discovered to be in possession of alcohol at the Barlow Road entrance gate.  Their hosts were referred to student conduct.

1:53 a.m. – After dispersing  a party of over 100 people at Townhouse 4 block, DPS found an underage student to be in possession of alcohol after refusing to cooperate with DPS.  The student was referred to student conduct for possession of alcohol as a minor and for disorderly conduct.

5:04 p.m. – The area coordinator of Regis Hall called to report the odor of marijuana.  Upon investigation DPS found four individuals to be in possession of marijuana. The individuals were issued citations and referred to student conduct.

Sunday, 9/8

1:44 a.m. – RAs in Regis Hall reported the smell of marijuana.  Students were issued infractions from the Fairfield Police Department and referred to student conduct.

2:14 p.m. – RAs in Kostka Hall reported an exit sign was vandalized.

Monday, 9/9

7:27 p.m. – A car outside Townhouse 14 block was reported vandalized.

Tuesday, 9/10

2:46 p.m. – A student was cited with Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle when they attempted to pass another motor vehicle on Leber Road by leaving the hard pavement at a high rate of speed.  The student was issued a $150 fine and referred to the Director of Public Safety regarding a review of the student’s campus parking privileges.
