It’s the final countdown — we all may be moving at 100 miles per hour heading into the final week of classes, but there is always time to slow down and enjoy the many events happening around campus. From sports games to the last Late Night at Barone of the year, you won’t want to miss these end-of-the-year events:
Tuesday, 4/25
Baseball v. Sacred Heart – Head to Alumni Diamond at 3:30 p.m. to support the Stags as they take on cross-town rivals, the Sacred Heart Pioneers.
Softball v. Seton Hall – The Stags will take on Seton Hall at 3:30 p.m. at the Alumni Softball Diamond.
Wednesday, 4/26
Lacrosse v. Manhattan College – Cheer on the women’s lacrosse team as they host Manhattan College at Rafferty Stadium starting at 3 p.m.
Thursday, 4/27
Will your stuff last 75 years? – Part of Preservation Week, students, faculty and staff can learn how to preserve their digital and print files in a presentation and consultation in room 114 of the DiMenna-Nyselius Library.
Bingo – Head to the Lower Level of the Barone Campus Center at 9 p.m. to play bingo with your friends and compete for prizes.
Senior Mug Night – The Levee will be hosting their final Senior Mug Night starting at 9 p.m. Seniors will receive a free class mug and can enjoy food, music and drinks before getting ready for graduation.
Friday, 4/28
Holi – Celebrate spring with this color run on the library lawn starting at 1 p.m. Be sure to wear white.
Lacrosse v. University of Delaware – Support the men’s lacrosse team as they take on the University of Delaware at Rafferty Stadium at 7 p.m.
CineFest – Student films will be featured on the screen of the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. in the University’s annual Cinefest, a festival celebrating the achievements of Fairfield’s young student filmmakers. Support your fellow Stags — and be sure to dress up for the red carpet affair.
Late Night at Barone – Late Night at Barone takes its festivities to the Quad, offering free food, a Fairfield University Student Association drawstring bag and a chance at riding the mechanical bull. Get in on the fun starting at 9 p.m.
Fairfield Flicks Presents: A Dog’s Purpose – Watch the recent release in the Gonzaga Auditorium starting at 10 p.m.
Saturday, 4/29
Softball v. Manhattan – Head to the Alumni Softball Diamond at noon to support the Stags as they take on Manhattan.
Quad Jam – Including food trucks and music by DJ Projo, the on-campus alternative to Clam Jam begins in the Quad at 11 a.m.
Wednesday, 5/3
FUSA Stress Busters: petting zoo – If studying for finals is making you stressed, take a break by visiting the petting zoo on the Library lawn. You can cuddle with pigs, goats, sheep, bunnies, chickens, ducks and even ponies, all starting at 11 a.m.
