Our collective efforts as members of The Caroline House On-Campus Direct-Action Initiative will be devoted to promoting awareness on campus, specifically pertaining to our group’s service work at The Caroline House. We will be responsible for distributing informative material and literature designed to help facilitate the volunteer efforts of other students and faculty at the University. We intend to organize an information kiosk and clothing drive at Jazzman’s Café in the BCC as a primary location to endorse The Caroline House program, and have each agreed upon a cumulative six hour volunteer requirement for each of our three On-Campus Direct-Action members. We are also going to attempt to support our group’s members undergoing service-learning at The Caroline House by sponsoring the program via on-campus media such as the widely recognized “Students 411” and our own student newspaper, “The Fairfield Mirror”. Our primary goal as members of The Caroline House On-Campus Direct-Action Initiative will be to extend the social awareness and recognition of The Caroline House program, while simultaneously fostering the active participation of both faculty and students. For more information, come visit us in the BCC near Jazzman’s Café on April 15, April 22, and April 29 from 3:30 p.m to 5:30 p.m.
