Two Fairfield University students were arrested last week for selling marijuana by an undercover police operation which began in February, according to the Connecticut Post.
Micaela Marshall ’06 was caught after allegedly selling marijuana to an undercover officer on Feb. 24 near the Pumpkin Preschool on Grasmere Avenue. She was charged on multiple counts of selling marijuana, sale of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a day-care center, sale of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school, sale of a controlled substance, operation of a drug factory and use of drug paraphernalia. She is now free after posting a $50,000 bond.
In a police report obtained by the Post, police allege Marshall was selling large amounts of marijuana from her Dolan single.
Erick Rodriguez ’05, police claim, was an accomplice of Marshall’s and has been charged with sale of marijuana, possession of marijuana and sale of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school. He is also free on bond.
The Post further reported that officers also bought drugs from Marshall near Fairfield Warde High School on March 16 and one week later outside Dolan. Previous to the last purchase, police said Marshall was seen exiting Rodriguez’s townhouse where she was given more marijuana.
Both students are scheduled to be arraigned April 9 at Bridgeport Superior Court.
