To the Editor:

I’m writing in response to your article about how the Career Fair is geared to business students. I have to say that I disagree with that statement. I myself was a liberal arts major, now currently working for a company that was at the Career Fair my senior year. Most companies, and I can even vouch as the recruiter from my company, aren’t looking for specific majors, or someone that just has a business background. They are looking for people that have good communication skills, decent grades and a willingness to learn. Basically any entry level job requires some sort of training, otherwise they wouldn’t be called entry level jobs. So I encourage all of you job-seekers out there not to discriminate against companies that seem to be pro-business. If that were the case I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Sincerely,

Lauren Marchiano
