To the Editor:

I’m writing this letter to address something that I think everyone at Fairfield feels the same way about…the snow removal situation. Now, I completely understand that it’s unusual to get this much snow in Connecticut, but come on, we couldn’t even get out of our building on Sunday because the steps were pure ice.

I understand Fairfield is “doing everything they can,” but maybe they could bring in some extra workers to try to help in the snow removal. After taking 45 minutes to dig my car out I just decided to drive to all my classes because the roads are a tiny bit better then the sidewalks.

I spoke to one person from campus operations, Kathy, who was extremely helpful and nice, but come on Fairfield – Get with the program – it snows in Connecticut too…I’d rather be walking through four inches of snow then sliding down the hill to Bannow. That $36,000 a year should be enough to clear the paths.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Santorello Class of 2006
