With exams around the corner, many students are pulling themselves away from their computers and televisions and trekking down to the library to cram for their exams.

The library’s hours of operation will remain the same, according officials. However, the café as well as the computer lab will be open 24 hours.

“Even McDonald’s is extending their hours, you would think the library would as well,” said Dora DeNardo, ’04.

Others agreed. “I really hate it when they close the library and force you into the crammed up café or the computer lab where people are typing. It’s rather distracting,” said Kim Liaw, ’04.

“The dorms are not good places to study and when students need to study for finals they should be able to enjoy the library at any time, not just a small overcrowded room,” said Nicole Pendolphi, ’04.

Now that the campus center is complete, students have another study option available. The ground floor is the place to go for group study, quiet study, or to socialize while taking a break from studying.

“I think this year I will try to study in the campus center,” said Lauren Blanchette ’04, “It’s a different atmosphere and the chairs look comfortable.”
