Fairfield’s own hip-hop/electro music blog StagsFlow is updated daily with the newest music and up-and-coming talent.

Sean Bannon ’11 started the site prior to his senior year and has since developed relationships with musical talent from all over the United States.

The blog also receives over 1,000 hits per day and has been featured on sites like BroBible for their signature Throwback Thursday posts.

Anxious to share StagsFlow with the Fairfield community, especially the younger grades who may or may not be aware of the blog,  the current blog webmaster Matt Deane ’13 has teamed up with The Mirror to share a new 10 track playlist with top songs from the blog.

To download all of the songs on this playlist right to your iTunes account, visit www.Stagsflow.com.

“Levels (In Reverse)” by Avicii, George Monev Edit

Starting off with a bang. Avicii’s “Levels” was arguably the song of 2011, getting that catchy synth melody stuck in everyone’s head it encountered. Well, George Monev looked at “Levels” and said to himself, “You think it’ll sound good backwards?” The answer is yes. This is one you need to hear.

“Calling (Lose My Mind)” by Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso,  feat. Ryan Tedder

Ryan Tedder, the lead singer of OneRepublic, teamed up with Ingrosso and Alesso to bring the vocal edit to their track “Calling,” making an already unreal song even better. Swedish House Mafia premiered this one this week on BBC Radio 1, and it’s now out on iTunes.

“The Spotlight” by Logic

A lot of you may not have heard of Logic yet, but he is most definitely someone to watch out for in the future. He’s an 18-year-old MC who’s been making some serious noise lately. His lyrical quality is well beyond his years, and he delivers hit after hit. If you’re a fan of this track, checkout his latest mix tape “Young Sinatra.”

“Visionz Of Home” by J Cole

It’s been a good two weeks for J Cole fans with two new leaks coming from the North Carolina native. First he hit us with “Grew Up Fast” and now this new one titled “Visionz Of Home.” He released this in honor of a day this past week named “J Cole Day” in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Turn the bass up and enjoy.

“Ass Back Home” by Timeflies

Timeflies has exploded in popularity in the past year thanks to their Timeflies Tuesday video series. They manage to consistently impress every week with their new releases. This is this week’s edition, where they remix the Gym Class Heroes track “Ass Back Home.” Cal’s freestyles get better and better each week and his flow is unreal.

“Born To Run” by Rick Ross and Bruce Springsteen, prod. Jonathan Lee

Never expected to see a mashup album of Rick Ross and Bruce, but Jonathan Lee has supplied it, and it actually works really well. Check out the whole album, which you can download for free on the site.

“Waterfalls” by Radical Something

Radical Something has blown up in the past six months. From the release of their debut album “We Are Nothing” to their recent release, the “No Sweat” EP, they kill it. Their music has such a feel-good vibe, and it’s pretty hard not to like. This is a personal favorite track off of “No Sweat” and one of the best they’ve made. Josh Cocktail’s vocals on the hook and the verses from Loggy are top notch.

“In Bloom” by The Good Husbands

The Good Husbands are an up-and-coming group out of Washington state. They have a really laid-back feel, and this one is ridiculously smooth. All four of these guys flow and deliver perfectly with the beat, and it’s my favorite Good Husbands song yet. Their new project “The Loft Sessions” is coming soon.

“Hands On The Wheel” by ScHoolboy Q, feat. A$AP Rocky

ScHoolboy Q is a guy who was a noticeable snub from this year’s XXL Freshman class, and A$AP Rocky is arguably the story of the year in hip-hop. These two linked up for this smooth track that will keep you listening.

“The Encore” by Basic Physics

Basic Physics is a mashup master, plain and simple. For this one he used eight different samples including Chiddy Bang, Deadmau5, and Ellie Goulding. It’s got a sick upbeat tempo and awesome buildups and drops that will get you moving.
