As the leaves begin to transform into a beautiful kaleidoscope of orange and red hues, fan favorite cafes break out their fall menus. Flavors encompassing the nature of autumn such as cinnamon, candy apple and pumpkin spice are loved by many, and considered over-hyped by others. Whether you are grabbing a festive drink while wandering a local bookstore, or snacking on an apple pie while enjoying a football game, indulging in a fall themed treat can brighten up any autumn day!

Dunkin’s Undead Drinks

As a girl from Massachusetts, it’s hard to deny being a Dunkin’ lover. This year the delectable donut donor hit it out of the park with their Halloween themed menu items. For those looking for a shot of energy to help get their scare on, the Potion Iced Macchiato is the petrifying-ly perfect combination of ghastly marshmallow ube and extraterrestrial espresso. Who doesn’t love some creepy crawlies on Halloween – especially when they make a delicious sugary treat. Dunkin’s Spider Specialty Donut is a delectable combination of donut and munchkin, topped with purple vanilla flavored icing and chocolate drizzle for legs.

Pumpkin is a fall staple, and for Sophomore Anna Minino Dunkin’s pumpkin muffin is a favorite. “I can’t get enough of it,” Minino states, explaining how the pastry has become a core part of her routine order.

The classic pumpkin spice latte is another great way to get your pumpkin fix. Some combine the classic flavor with others to create the perfect drink. Sophomore Rebecca Mattei-Brown says, “Fall drinks are my absolute favorite, and this year I’m loving the Almond Spice Iced Coffee at Dunkin! The Nutty Flavor with the pumpkin spice is such a great combination!”

Trader Joe’s Terrifying Treats

When looking for a seasonal snack, Trader Joe’s never disappoints. From pumpkin ice cream to butternut squash mac and cheese bites, this supermarket has some super options to satisfy any taste palate. For me, their classic apple cider donuts are a must have, and a perfect taste of autumn. Recently the Organic Fall Zucchette Pasta has become a hit, trending online the Zucchette is used as a base for many comforting cooks. Combined with sausage, Autumnal Harvest Creamy pasta sauce and tomatoes the pumpkin shaped pasta can provide the perfect cozy meal.

Starbucks Spooktacular Sips

Nothing screams fall more than a pumpkin spice latte, especially from Starbucks. This year, the cafe brought back many fan favorites, including cold brews, chais, espressos and lattes with any combination of pumpkin, apple crisp and pecan crunch. For those looking to pair a treat alongside their drink, the all new peculiar pastries are just the item! The Mummy Cookie is made of shortbread and a sweet white chocolate design. The golden baked apple croissant is filled with warm apples and topped with sugar, making a mouth watering fall baked good.

Embracing their wicked side, a collaboration with the new movie starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, set to come out this November, includes two new “Popular” drinks that’ll have you “Dancing Through Life.” Cold brew with peppermint flavored syrup, non dairy matcha cold foam and candy sprinkles comprises Elphaba’s drink – or should I say elixir. Glinda’s Pink Potion is created with a splash of sweet mango, a dash of dragonfruit, a pinch of coconut milk and non dairy strawberry cold foam – don’t forget the sprinkles.

Whether you are looking for a comforting fall meal, or a spooktacular sip, these fall menus provide the perfect fall taste palette!
