When I picture my Prince Charming, I automatically think of three characteristics: tall, dark and handsome (a strong, square jaw like those of cartoon superheroes wouldn't hurt). But as much as it ails me to accept it, my paint-by-number fantasy isn't reality.

You walk into a townhouse party and grab a beer. From across the room you connect eyes with a beautiful girl or handsome boy. Slowly you venture towards each other. You talk, drink and maybe dance with one another. You've really hit it off! The party starts to wind down and you're left with the question, 'do I say goodnight and leave it as is or do I just throw all caution to the wind and hook up with this person?' This scenario is a common one on all college campuses; one that leaves most students in the dark.

1. If a girl spends the night, she may regret it in the morning when she has to make the "walk of shame." This could be pretty embarrassing. When she walks out of your room in the mini skirt and high heels she was wearing last night, people suspect one thing and one thing only.

Being that I've never been labeled as "taken" on Valentine's Day, I've learned to look at Feb. 14 with a new perspective in hope of saving myself from a night of wallowing in bed, watching sappy romance movies and consuming an entire pint of Ben ' Jerry's Half-Baked ice cream.
