Bush Iraq actions cause mixed feelings at Fairfield

On Sept. 19, 2002 President Bush sent a resolution to Congress requesting the authorization to "use all means, including force, to...defend the national security interests of the United States against the threat posed by Iraq." If the resolution is passed, America will be faced with the most aggressive and preemptive defense policy since the Reagan era.

SBRA: for students, by students

It hosts some of the best off-campus activities and represents over 400 Fairfield University students who call Fairfield Beach home this year. The Student Beach Resident Association was founded by students and administration during the summer of 1992, not only to help coordinate social events but to also organize students living off-campus.

My 30-something-year-old cousin came to visit me this past weekend. The first thing that came out of his mouth was, "Geez, Lynn, if I didn't know better, I'd think you went to school in Los Angeles-certainly not Connecticut. Look at these people!" I must say, he's right.

We need more events like this…

Sophomore year is the lost year in college. We're no longer new and special like the freshmen, we're not going abroad and getting internships like the juniors, and we're not graduating like the seniors. Sophomores are just a bunch of drifting "wise fools," and everyone knows it.
