How do you measure, measure four years?

Four years. 1460 days. 2,102,400 minutes. Four years ago, I came Fairfield not knowing what to expect. Now, I've found myself a second home, a place I'm still not quite ready to leave. I've learned a lot about myself and others here at Fairfield.

Worst Mexican: Taco Loco

Taco Loco tries, but was voted Worst Mexican Food this year by the students of Fairfield University. Their menu needs more options to attract the college crowd, however their Happy Hour discounts remain an attraction to the 21 and older crowd. I recommend the frozen margarita pitchers.

Best Mexican: La Salsa

La Salsa is a hit with students again this year, winning the Best Mexican Food award. The convenience and accessibility of La Salsa surely adds to the frequency in which students swing by this local eatery, and the food never disappoints. The fair prices and generous portions keep us coming back each year, plus they were one of the first to accept the Stagcard.

Staff Pick: Villa del Sol

Although a little a pricey for the average Fairfield student's Coach wallet, Villa del Sol in Westport, CT, never fails to deliver with its quality dining experience. Villa del Sol offers a variety of Mexican dishes, including flauntas, tacos, and chimichangas, and boasts its food with its atmosphere.

Best Happy Hour: Archie Moore’s

It's simple: the best wings in Fairfield County for free, every night of the week. That alone should get students in the door, but Archie's has a far better selection of beer than most bars, and its sold at an affordable price. With the cozy atmosphere and good service, we recommend you stay for a burger and fries; but if you're on an incredibly tight budget and don't mind the calories, you can have an infinite amount of those famous tangy wings, along with a couple of cold brews, and spend less money than you would have for a meal at McDonald's.

Worst Happy Hour: The Levee

Let's face it: despite the convenience of the close walk from the townhouses, a happy hour is only as good as the crowd it draws, and nobody goes to the Levee. It got a tremendous boost last year when Mike's Pizza came in, and there's no doubt grabbing a grinder or a plate of fries beats another meal at the Stag.

Staff Pick: The Levee

Apparently, not enough people have taken advantage of the opportunity to enjoy a happy hour at The Levee. Perhaps it's the strict drinking age enforcement. Whatever the reason, if you are of age, you are missing one of the greatest happy hour opportunities, especially if you are an on-campus resident or a university employee.

‘Revenge’ of George Lucas

by Steven M. Andrews What a difference 30 years makes. Back in 1975, writer and director George Lucas was struggling to find someone to produce his space epic "Star Wars," going from studio to studio to find anyone willing to give it a chance. Now, with "Star Wars" and the four sequels it spawned firmly entrenched in American culture and movie history, with all of them landing a spot on the top 30 worldwide grosses of all-time, Lucas is putting the finishing touches on the final film in the series.
