DiMeo Charged With Stealing Handgun in Donnelly Murders

The man charged with murdering Kim and Tim Donnelly, longtime members of the Univeristy community, was arraigned Tuesday in Bridgeport Superior Court. The Donnellys were robbed and murdered on Feb. 2, 2005 in their Fairfield jewelry store. Kim Donnelly was a former University professor and the couple's son, Eric Donnelly, graduated from Fairfield in 2001.

Stags End Season on Strong Note; Gets First Round Bye in MAAC Tournament

Needing a win to clinch a first round bye in next weekend's MAAC tournament, the Fairfield Stags were not playing well and appeared to be headed towards a loss to ninth place Saint Peter's Peacocks. The Stags fell behind 45-43 with 7:19 left in the game, but seemed lost on the court. It was from that point that Fairfield's very own super hero, Michael Van Schaick, took over and saved his team from defeat.

Riley Rants: Forget Post-Its! Be mature, break up in person

He broke up with me: with a Post-It. For those unaware, this is a line from HBO's Sex and the City, referring Carrie Bradshaw's boyfriend leaving her apartment in the middle of the night with a lone Post-It explaining why. Why is breaking up with someone, or telling them you're not interested, such a hard thing to do? There should be some common sense etiquette to follow, yet most cases involve avoidance, deceit, heartache or all of the above.
