Transfer students say FU’s adjustment efforts are lacking

by Sean Corbett Dear Fairfield, Please make us feel more comfortable. Thanks, the transfer students. Each year, transfer students try to start anew at Fairfield University after deciding their first college choice wasn't working. Some of the this year's 36 transfer students said the school is still trying to learn how to make them comfortable, citing problems with an orientation lunch held by a number of students, faculty and administration to help the new students acclimate to the university the day before classes began.

Kiss my Ash goodbye: Tips from a graduating senior who did college the right way

A few weeks ago the university posted the list of "commencement candidates" on the second floor of Canisius. So I went to check the list, and yes, I am in fact graduating. I found my name printed on the list of seniors set to graduate in six weeks and I thought, is it possible to be taken off the list? Could I possibly stick around for another four years of beach living? Also recently, I got the pamphlet for Senior Week in my mailbox.

Ben Folds rocks out at UCONN

Behind him on stage were a bassist and drummer. Folds has not performed an entire show with a band since 1999, when his former band, Ben Folds Five, broke up.
