According to the FUSA Election Code, a tie means that “a run-off election will be held between the tied candidates within seven days of the original election.”

Although the positions of president and vice-president were left unchallenged, class senator roles necessitated student votes for a decision.

And as a result, Harry Cintineo ’14 and Astrid Quiniones ’14 tied with exactly 87 votes each for the position of 2014 class senator.

To remedy this indecision, a second election opened to members of the class of 2014 next Tuesday in the Lower Level BCC from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The FUSA Election Code further states that “all policies hat apply for General Elections also apply for any run-off elections.” This includes policies regarding posting flyers and campaigning near voting grounds.
