We've all had "that" professor. You know, the one whose monotone voice is dull enough to narcotize an insomniac; the one who reads Power Point slides verbatim and regularly gives pop quizzes to show his/her students how poorly educated they are.

Laptops were stolen, non-students were banned from campus and obscene instant messages round out the final crime beat of the school year.

The crime happenings on campus from last week.

Thusday, March 22 7:00 p.m. Female students in Campion Hall reported items missing from their room over spring break. There are no suspects. 9:19 p.m. A note was left on a student's car parked in the Village saying he witnessed the car being attacked by male turkeys while mating.

At Fairfield, those few are seniors Darci Fulcher, Jodie Pfau, Dan Scivoletti and Jared Mezzocchi. Together with Wendy Scola '08, the team of writers and directors scattered their leadership roles throughout the three completely different one-act plays in this year's Theater Festval.

Last Thursday, Gideon Yago, a well-known journalist and former MTV news correspondent, took to the Quick Center stage. Not only is Yago well-recognized by the student population because of his MTV past, but he communicated a powerful point that was geared directly to our student population - that our generation must become more aware of world events rather than simply celebrity gossip.

Students aren't the only ones with big plans for spring break; faculty members are also taking advantage of this time off. For example, Father von Arx and a group of faculty members will be embarking on a trip to Cuba. Other professors will be making the week week as productive as possible at home.

Bring out the UV protection and beach towels; Spring Break is here. Where are you going? While some Fairfield students are heading all over the globe, others will take the time to relax, soak up some sun and enjoy paradise. "I'm going on a cruise to the eastern Caribbean," said Julie Briggs '07.

Thursday, March 1 2:10 p.m. A broken pay phone was found in Campion Hall. There are currently no suspects. 3:21-3:24 p.m. Two chronic traffic offenders were towed off campus from the RecPlex parking lot. The cars were from the townhouses and Kostka Hall. Friday, March 2 11:47 a.

This week's offenses include a sexual assault, pornographic photos and a recovered Stagcard with $120 missing.
