Men’s Lacrosse upsets UMass, 10-9

Men's Lacrosse edged UMass on Tuesday afternoon, 10-9, ending a eight-game losing streak and providing a much-needed spark for a young team. "This game is a big game for us," said Head Coach Ted Spencer, who is an alumnus and former UMass player. "We need to take these (final) games to set the foundation for next year, and if nothing else give these guys some learning experience.

Men’s Lax falls to 3-8

On Saturday afternoon, the Stags men's lacrosse team completed a disappointing home season with a loss against Loyola on Lessing Field. The loss brought the Stags home record to 1-5. Two weeks prior on the same field, the Georgetown Hoyas narrowly escaped Fairfield with a 10-8 victory.

Basketball takes the stage

On Saturday the Fairfield men's and women's basketball teams took the court for their annual Red-White intra-squad scrimmage at Alumni Hall. The women played first and appeared slightly sluggish out of the gate with multiple turnovers and missed shots. Though they had trouble establishing a rhythm, there were some sparks of play to tantalize the crowd with the team's potential.
