New Works brings the best of the old and new

There's an old proverb that says the future is in the hands of the youth. Another tells us to look to our elders, for they are wise. Could it be that both pieces of advice are in fact, true? Theatre Fairfield seems to think so. Theatre Fairfield's New Works Festival premiered the best and brightest new plays from the University community on Feb. 21 and Feb. 24 at the PepsiCo Theater.

Gathering Of TheVibes Takes Bridgeport Back In Time

If only the residents of Bridgeport had seen the traffic of the night before: cars full of vegans, dread-heads, music elitists and burn-outs backed all the way up from Seaside Park to I-95. The cars, RVs, trucks and even buses rolled in throughout the night filling the air with the music of U Melt, John Brown's Body and a tribute to Jerry Garcia, in honor of his would-be birthday, from Dark Star Orchestra.

New Sounds From Fairfield

Still Life is what live music should be: exciting, engaging and inspiring. A Classy Affair

I had been waiting two years to see Gym Class Heroes and on Friday, Sept. 15, my friend Austin and I made the drive up to the Webster Theater in Hartford to do just that. It wasn't just any Friday night though; it was my 21st birthday. After dropping a vagabond freshman off at Trinity to see his girlfriend, Austin and I drove around the block to the Webster.
