On Monday, Fairfield squares off against conference foe Loyola at 7 p.m. in Baltimore, Md. The Stags (6-8) have a 2-1 conference record. Loyola (7-6) is also 2-1 in the MAAC. The Greyhounds' last game and second league victory came against Siena this past Saturday.

With 12 minutes left in Fairfield's game at Rider on Tuesday night, Head Coach Ed Cooley and each one of his assistants jolted to their feet, clapping enthusiastically as one of the crown jewels of their first recruiting class dominated the game.

This Saturday, Fairfield squares off against conference foe Marist at 1:30 p.m. at Alumni Hall. The Stags (6-7) have a 2-0 conference record. Marist (9-4) is tied with Fairfield and Siena at 2-0 in the MAAC. The Red Foxes' two victories came against Loyola and Manhattan.

This Tuesday, the Stags kick off the New Year with a game against conference foe Rider at 7:30 p.m. in Lawrenceville, N.J. Fairfield and Rider are both 1-1 in MAAC play, but the Stags have a 3-10 record overall while the Broncs have posted a 7-5 mark.

This Saturday, the Stags square off against St. Francis College (Brooklyn, N.Y.) at 7 pm in Alumni Hall. Fairfield has a 1-8 overall record and still has not played a conference game. St. Francis has an 0-7 overall record and is 0-1 in the Northeast Conference.

That's why they say you can't win them all. Fairfield volleyball's history has been filled with MAAC victories. From 1997 through 2001, Fairfield won the MAAC Championship and competed in the NCAA tournament. Throughout the years, their record has been stellar during the regular season, but just short in the MAAC tournament.
