The major/minor breakdown

Jacquie Illig has no clue what she wants to do in life. Fortunately for her, neither do the 239 other members of the freshman class who are also liberal arts undeclared majors. Illig does, however, enjoy her psychology class and is considering that as a potential major.

Merit pay voted in

As anticipated, last Thursday the Fairfield University Board of Trustees voted in favor of a new compensation structure for faculty based upon merit, despite strong opposition from the faculty.

Slackers need not apply

Communication majors are applauding their department for attempting to impose higher standards for the major, which is widely seen as the easiest major on campus. But some outgoing seniors feel the change in expectations may be too much too soon.
