Where are my Fairfield ladies? How would you like to be 'University Chic?' Universitychic.com is a free online magazine created by two University of Pennsylvania law students, Christie Garton and Marina Lemberg. The women have dubbed it, "The site for college, grad school and beyond.

Stags lacrosse wrap-up

The Fairfield men's lacrosse team ended its first season in the ECAC with a 12-7 road win over St. John's. The Stags ended the 2006 season 6-7 overall and 4-3 in conference play. The ECAC is arguably the toughest conference in the country as eight teams are ranked in the nation's top 20.

Stags rolling into the MAACs

The Fairfield women's lacrosse team finished their regular season in buckets of rain as they crushed Iona, 16-5, on Alumni Field April 23. Fairfield improved to 7-9 overall and 5-2 in the MAAC, entering the tournament as the third seed. The Stags will face second-seeded Canisius in the semifinals on Friday afternoon.

Hip-hop brings local DJ back to life

We have all heard about Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent, being shot nine times, and Kanye West having his jaw wired shut before becoming influential contributors to the hip-hop community. So can the same be said for Gerald "Jeep" Ward, a DJ who lost the use of his left arm? In 2001, Ward was attending Hofstra as a radio major while working as "DJ Vainone" at a local bar in Long Island.

Men’s lax falls to Hoyas 10-5.

It was a battle against the weather and one of the nations' best as Fairfield men's lacrosse team fell to No. 2 Georgetown 10-5 on Alumni Field Saturday afternoon. The sleet and heavy rainfall moved the game from the big stage on Lessing Field, but fans and tailgaters alike showed up for what proves to be many more match-ups among the nation's elite.

Loffredo secures place in record books

Add Beth Loffredo '06 to the list of Fairfield women earned themselves a spot in the record books this season. Loffredo netted two goals in the Stags loss to Yale on March 29, moving her past Jessica Conohan for first on the all-time school goal-scoring list with 121.
