There are numerous initiatives that Fairfield is taking to “go green.” However, the integration of administration, faculty and student involvement is often essential in moving projects forward to further increase on-campus sustainability.

The tragic story of University of Pennsylvania freshman Madison Holleran’s recent suicide made national news, sparking conversations about how such horrific events can be prevented.

What does peace mean to you? That is the question students from kindergarten through eighth grade attempted to answer for this year’s Poetry for Peace celebration. With less than a sentence to an entire page, these poems captured the hearts of the audience.

At a smaller school, like Fairfield, gossip tends to spread quickly among the student body. Now, with social media such as Twitter, that spread is not only instantaneous, but has the potential to exist forever. Gone are the days of gossip “blowing over,” as now it can resurface at anytime with the click of a button.
