Having attended Catholic school for most of my life as well as being part Irish, I have heard the legend of St. Patrick many times. Supposedly, St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, chased snakes off of an island after they interrupted a fast in which he was partaking.

Look back at America in Sochi Olympics

The Olympics only happen once every four years, so they should be enjoyed as much as possible while they are around. As a sports fan, nothing gets me more excited than rooting for my home country (and hopefully watching it win some medals) with all of my friends. It is a time of national unity, where people put aside their differences to root for their countries with pride.

Ah, fighting in hockey. A tradition that has existed in the National Hockey League since it was allowed in 1922, fighting has recently come under fire due to injuries that some players have sustained while talking with their fists, as well as some all-out line-brawls that have made people question whether it has a place in the sport anymore.
