The class of 2006 will enjoy a night of gambling and dancing at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. this Saturday, Feb. 18.

As of Feb. 14, all tickets to the event sold out.

The B.B. King club has been rented out for exclusive use by the class of 2006. “The club features a live D.J., dancing, V.I.P rooms and a cash bar,” said graduate assistant Joe Ginese.

“This is the first thing they put together for us,” said Kim Czarnecki ’06, who feels that it somewhat makes up for events like 200 Nights being cancelled.

Christine Passarella ’07 is happy to hear that there are new events being planned for the senior class.

“I hope this will start new traditions at Fairfield and give all of us something to look forward to our senior year,” she said.

According to Ginese, the 2006 class council has planned this and other events to promote unity and identity among the class.

The council will be sponsoring a “Senior Night” at the last home basketball games of the season for both the men’s and women’s teams, according to Ginese.

Tickets for the games on Saturday, Feb. 25, will be sold to the seniors for $1.
