1. Tougher schedule: men’s or women’s basketball?

Chris Simmons: The women will do better, but the men have a slightly harder schedule despite playing in the MAAC.

Christina Stoddard: With the addition of Wake Forest, I have to say the men have a rougher road ahead.

Dan Stanczyk: Roy Hibbert or Anthony Johnson? I’ll take Showtime in a heartbeat.

2. Beach house or townhouses?

Chris Simmons: Townhouse 11 last year, but with no basements this year, I’m going with the beach. It’s just a pain to get to.

Christina Stoddard: Toes in the sand and a drink in your hand … definitely the beach.

Dan Stanczyk: Although I could do without the “yah dudes,” I’d rather drink from a keg and look at the water than live in a triple without a basement.

3. More recognizable: Hutch Williams or Mamadou Diakhate?

Chris Simmons: Mamadou stands out more in a crowd of Fairfield students.

Christina Stoddard: Mamadou. Hutch’s red attire and stag pride just can’t keep up.

Dan Stanczyk: Mamadou’s taller and darker

4. Who will go farther: Red Sox or Yankees?

Chris Simmons: I could care less. As long as neither of them win, I’ll be happy. I don’t feel like listening to both sets of annoying fans all winter again. Let’s go O’s!

Christina Stoddard: Gotta go with the Yanks. They’ve been the hottest team in baseball the second half of the season, and I think they’ll keep it up.

Dan Stanczyk: I’d love nothing more than for the Yankees to get swept while A-Rod goes 12 for 12. Plus, the Red Sox have former Blue Jay great Mike Timlin.

5. Bigger surprise: Notre Dame or University of Southern Florida?

Chris Simmons: Think Notre Dame regrets firing Willingham and giving Weis that 10-year contract extension? Bring back Rudy.

Christina Stoddard: Notre Dame. Who would have thought that they may go 0-8?

Dan Stanczyk: Notre Dame; once they’ve out- Catholicked BC on Oct. 13 in South Bend, the Mecca of college football. Yeah I just referenced two religions. Get over it.
