In a motion filed on Nov. 25, the legal team for Doug Perlitz '92 asked the U.S. District Court to re-set the deadlines for the filing of pre-trial motions and the start of jury selection. The pre-trial motions were due to be filed on Oct. 29 while jury selection was scheduled to start on Dec. 2.

Doug Perlitz '92 was detained without prejudice until his trial. However, the defense will ultimately ask for his release once condition of his bond are more adequately met.

Two motions were filed on Tuesday in the Douglas Perlitz '92 case in preparation for his detention hearing on Wednesday.

The hearing to determine whether Doug Perlitz '92 will be released on bond has been moved to Oct. 28, as activists ramp up their campaigns to keep him behind bars.

Perlitz appeared in court for the first time on Thursday to be arraigned on ten counts involving sexually abusing children in Haiti.

The government has filed a pretrial motion in its case against Douglas Perlitz '92 asking that he be detained until his trial.

Doug Perlitz will be arraigned Thursday, Oct. 8.
