To the Editor:
I applaud the students at the beach who raised money for charity at parties they had this weekend. There was one on Friday for Breast Cancer Research and one on Saturday for the Mark Fisher Foundation. The residents asked for a small donation from students coming in their house to party, much like other schools do, but not for profit.
It is fantastic that it is a Fairfield tradition not to charge students to come into a party. However, when money that is collected goes to a charitable foundation, everybody wins. I hope this trend catches on.
