Volleyball stays atop league

Win every match. Improve every match. These two goals of the Fairfield volleyball team were achieved as they shut out Niagara in three straight games (30-22, 30-13, 30-15) Saturday night in Alumni Hall. A crowd of 150 people cheered the Stags to victory, helping improve the team's record to 4-0 in the MAAC and 7-6 overall.

Man on a mission: Cooley looking to heat things up

As Ed Cooley prepares for his first season as head of Fairfield men's basketball, he is also setting his sights off the court and into the Fairfield community. He is reaching out to Fairfield students to build a fan base and more school spirit. His first step toward this goal was to speak at a Resident Assistant meeting during the summer.

Smooth Sailing: Women’s Crew captures 1st in MAAC championship

WEST WINDSOR, NJ, April 24-It was calm waters and smooth sailing for Fairfield's novice 4+ as they captured first-place at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) championships on Sunday April 24, 2006. The team comprised of freshmen Jessica Braveman, Liz Ulles, Mary Crowley, Rosalind McGrail and coxswain Amanda Bennette, crossed the finish line at 8:16.

FU promotes awareness, not necessarily alcohol abstinence

The number of alcohol violations at Fairfield University jumped from 651 in 2003 to 752 in 2004, a 16 percent increase in a single year, but there is little agreement on whether the most recent numbers listed in the annual crime report reflect increased alcohol consumption on campus.
