More staff in res life disciplined

The dismissal of the Jogues RHC, two resident assistants in Regis for violations of university codes of conduct has left Fairfield's residence life staff troubled. Clark Callahan, the Jogues RHC, Becky Robinson '05 and Kevin Seville '06 resigned or were dismissed from their positions in residence life staff two weeks ago after other RA's reported their infractions.

Katherine D'Emic '06 usually feels safe on campus. Yet for a couple weeks, there were times when she was nervous walking to her townhouse. Several weeks ago, the blue safety light outside The Levee, near her townhouse, went out of service, causing D'Emic to feel uneasy.

Students walk for a greater good

by Meg Mahoney A sea of pink bloomed in the middle of Central Park on Sunday, October 17 and blossomed along a five-mile course as people cheered and helped the pastel pink color flourish. It was the annual Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk in New York City, the American Cancer Society's primary event to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.

Fall block party calls poker theme

The annual fall block party sponsored by RAZOR and UNITE held in the townhouses will have a western Texas Hold 'Em theme this year. "RAZOR and UNITE came up with the theme due to the increased popularity of Texas Hold 'Em on campus," said Melissa Nowicki '05, head of UNITE.

First FUSA election for freshmen

Also elected were Logan Carr, who ran uncontested for Treasurer, and ten Senators: John Daly, Casey Grier, Marc Hansel, Megan McConville Jessica McLane, Kaity Noone, Chris Pace, Elizabeth Pfeiffer, Eliot Smith and Ben Welch.

O.A.R.’s agent responds to rejection of FUSA bid

O.A.R. did not ignore Fairfield University's bid to engage them as the November 20 fall concert act as previously reported by The Mirror, but they did reject it and somehow FUSA never found out. O.A.R. management contacted The Mirror in response to the September 16 article which stated that Fairfield University and FUSA specifically, had never received an answer to the bid placed on August 10.

Many beach residents wary of information collected

It's a false alarm for beach residents who didn't fill out the required contact information for the Dean of Students Office by the latest September 24 deadline. Beach residents were informed over the summer by mail and recently via email that they were required to submit an online form with their local addresses, phone number, and even the name of the house in which they are living.
