The backstabbing, scandalous blogs of the television show, "Gossip Girl," ends with each show at 9 p.m. on Mondays, and the Burn Book was just a creation of Lindsay Lohan and the other mean girls, right? Wrong. College students across the country are finding themselves the subject of demeaning posts on the Web site Juicycampus.

At Fairfield, Kurt Schlichting is known as a mentor, published author, esteemed researcher and family man, and it seems he has recently added television star to his resume. A sociology professor, Schlichting appears several times in PBS's documentary film "Grand Central Terminal," which premiered on Feb. 4.

Tuesday, January 29 2:14 p.m. The second floor copier in Donnarumma was damaged. The damage costs $500 to repair. Wednesday, January 30 1:32 a.m. There was a disturbance on the first floor of Regis Hall. Thursday, January 31 9:58 a.m. A student was found operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Take Your Children to Work Day . . . every day

Bellarmine Hall. Barone Campus Center. Leslie C. Quick Jr. Center. Soon, the Fairfield University Early Learning Center, an on-campus day care facility, will be added to the list of buildings on Fairfield's campus. In an effort to build a greater community and aid the critical need for an increase in early childhood educators around Connecticut, the University submitted a permit to the Fairfield Town Planning and Zoning Commission on Jan. 2.

Living the ‘dream’

Many students use Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday as an excuse to party harder while watching football games on Sunday, but some students were honored for their efforts to live out this civil rights activist's mission during a multi-day celebration. During the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Vision Awards Dinner, Peter Otoki '08 and Frank Fraioli '08 were recognized for their "tremendous contributions to our community," said Larri Mazon, director of Multicultural Relations.
