A Fairfield employee received an anonymous letter that threatened to kill her if she didn’t give the writer $10,000. The police were notified, and nothing else has happened in this case.

3:40 p.m. A professor called Public Safety because he found a student sleeping in a classroom. The student admitted to drinking, was sent to the hospital, and was later referred to misconduct.

Saturday, March 1

3:09 a.m. A suspicious person, later identified as a part-time grounds crew employee, was found roaming the Quad. The underage non-student was found with alcohol. His parents were called, and he was asked to leave the campus.

Tuesday, March 4

6:50 a.m. Public Safety officers were checking the campus by Southwell and discovered a broken window and door. There was nothing in the building and nothing was taken. The carpenters were notified and everything was fixed.

10:57 a.m. Public Safety received a call from Director of Housing Gary Stephenson, who was checking out damage in a townhouse. While there, he discovered two Fairfield University banners hanging from poles. The banners were confiscated and the students were reported to misconduct for stolen property.

Sunday, March 9

A car parked by the townhouses suffered a broken window when the high winds caused a tree branch to fall on the car.

A student reported damage to her car, a black Infiniti, which was parked near Kostka/Claver. She found scratches on her door, apparently caused by the turkeys on campus.

9:15 p.m. Bleachers at the softball field were upended and thrown into the fence 100 yards away because of the high winds.

Monday, March 10

12:40 p.m. A girl reported $200 had been taken from her wallet in the bathroom of Claver Hall. This case is currently under investigation.
